Hello! My name is Lynn. I am humbled and grateful to be living on the traditional, unceded territory of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ (Tsleil-Waututh) First Nations.
I value community, and I am passionate about social justice issues. I recognize that our social structures and ideas of self impact our lived experiences and how we navigate the world. My journey into working in the mental health field began in Australia in 2011 as a mentor for youth at the Department for Child Protection. My most recent work as a counsellor draws individuals wanting to explore their sense of self, reshape patterns of behaviour, understand and regulate emotions, or work through family and relationship traumas. However, my diverse background and playful humour allow me to connect with people from all walks of life and I welcome anyone who feels like I may be a fit.
My counselling style is guided by my core values of gentle curiosity, compassion, authenticity, and open-mindedness, drawing on various techniques curated specifically to support your unique self. My goal is to walk alongside you as we deepen your understanding of self, identify the needs behind your feelings and emotions, and explore paths to reach your desired goals in ways that align with your values.
I celebrate your courage in seeking counselling and look forward to holding space for you. Whatever shows up, I am here to sit with you in warmth, attunement, and respect.
